You have a fantastic sense of color! I love this dog and the way he is intently watching out the window!

Another great animal painting, Karen. I'm partial to your cats, but the expression on this dog's face is very endearing. The colors are really beautiful.

wow, I love your style, and I agree with Linda, a fantastic sense of colour. You captured the moment really well and the way the light catches the ear works great.

Thank you, Linda! I do love color ... my hardest struggle in developing my style has been to try to rein in those colors a bit to keep them from battling with each other. I'm still learning!

Virginia, thank you! I love painting animals ... I highly recommend it, even if you're afraid it won't come out right. I painted my very first animal painting only about 3 years ago (I remember that my very first oil painting of an animal was our cat Ray), after a lifetime of painting landscapes and still lifes, and I'm so glad I tried it!

Hi, Ivana, thank you for your lovely comments! I just visited your website, and your work is beautiful ... amazing detail, and beautiful expression as well. Keep up the good work!

You do have fantastic sense of color and I think your color harmony is perfect. This is stunning.
I've seen this colorful character before, no?

Thanks, Carol!

Hi Mary, thanks for all your lovely comments! Yes, you have seen this sweet boy Blue, both in photos on my blog and in my acrylic painting "nothin but a hound dog" from January 2009. Interesting ... looking back I can see how his face is a little more mature now.
