Karen you have captured a moment which we all have in our memories: a cat sitting in the sun, so comfortably, so present. Love how you have composed this and the light! great work. r.

I love her! (and, rahina, I'm NOT following you - we just seems to have the same taste!) As usual you have captured the personality of the cat (as a cat LOVER, HOW DO YOU DO IT?). Glad to be up from the puppy, and visiting again!

Thank you all for your wonderful comments!

Rahina, I never get tired of seeing our cats cozying up to the fire, lying in the sun on the porch, or in a comfy chair like in this picture. I love hearing that it evokes fond memories for you!

Hi Kelley! Sometimes it’s not so easy ... my first attempt at this painting was NOT so succesful. I’m glad you like this one! BTW, I’ve been following the adventures of Paco on your blog ... so cute!

Fabio, thanks very much ... that comment means a lot coming from you, since you’re a master of painting the light!

Hello Karen - I found your site earlier this morning and enjoyed seeing your paintings and love your stories about your many pets. Since just discovering you, and not sure how I got here, I'll have to come back and spend more time looking and reading. I am originally from SW Louisiana and just want you to know you have captured the beauty of the LA landscape; your landscapes make me feel right at home!

Looking forward to coming back and seeing more of "home".

This is beautiful... I love that pose, and it reminds me of one of our cats. Very nice.
