Your animal work has such heart - you really do make it look amazingly easy - when I know the opposite is true! This has to be one of my all time favorites.
Thanks, Kelley! And to think I used to be afraid of trying to paint animals. But once I started thinking of them as just another group of shapes and colors, I got over it. I remember my first painting of an animal was my cat. When I was finished I remember being surprised and thinking, wow, that looks like a cat!
The more I did, the less intimidated I became, and now I love painting animals.
This is fabulous. The colors and the composition rock! I agree with Kelley about the heart in these paintings. It seems that every painting is another chance to 'get over it' in the case of intimidation. I do it daily!
